Some frequently asked questions:
I’m a good person, I haven’t killed anyone. Why do I need Jesus or Eternal Life?
[Rom 3:12 NKJV] 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”
[Heb 9:27-28 NIV] 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
The Good Person Test:
Have I ever told a lie?
Have I ever stole anything?
Have I ever looked at person with lust?
Have I ever been angry with someone?
Have I ever dishonored or disrespected your parents?
Have I ever used God’s name in vain?
Jesus says, you’ve committed adultery in your heart if you’ve looked at someone with lust. Jesus says, you’ve committed murder in your heart, if you’ve been angry with an individual. Check out Matthew 5.
If you’ve answered yes, to any of these, that would make you potentially a lieing, thief, adulterous, murderer, dishonorable, blasphemer.
Have you ever wondered, “why can’t I help but do these things?
I know these things are wrong, but I do them anyway.”
All of us, if we are honest with ourselves, know we’ve done such things. Our conscience bears witness to this reality. Therefore we know we are not “good.”
[Rom 3:20-27 NKJV] 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth [as] a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
27 Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.
The reason you can’t help but do these things is because your “spirit” has been dead to the things of God.
What do you mean, “My spirit is dead?”
When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of “good and evil” mentioned in the book of Genesis in the Bible, sin entered the world. Our spirit, died and separated from God. As soon as this happened it was impossible to be perfect and holy in the sight of God.
Because of the finished work of the cross, Jesus defeated death and sin, allowing restoration and reconciliation between God and man.
Becoming “born again” through baptism makes your spirit come to life. For the first time in your entire life, you now have the opportunity to connect – spirit to Spirit with God. The Holy Spirit will now be able to bring revelation and understanding regarding the Bible. Until, you’re born again, the Bible really won’t make sense.
When we become born again, we then become called – sons of God. That’s right, we are adopted as sons and daughters of the Living God. Everything Jesus did, we can do (aside from dieing on the cross for the remission of sins – we can’t do that). He’s given us all authority to take dominion on earth as it is in Heaven.
What’s it mean to follow Jesus?
[Mar 8:34 NKJV] 34 When He had called the people to [Himself], with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
[Mar 10:21 NKJV] 21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”
[Luk 9:23 NKJV] 23 Then He said to [them] all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
[Luk 14:27-30, 33 NKJV] 27 “And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has [enough] to finish [it]– 29 “lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see [it] begin to mock him, 30 “saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ … 33 “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
[Jhn 14:15, 21 NKJV] 15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. … 21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
Are Heaven and Hell real?
[Luk 16:19-31 NKJV] 19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 “But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 “desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 “So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 “And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’

This is real. Heaven is real. Hell is real.
